JOB SUMMARY

"Director of Technology Transformation", under the leadership of the GSFSGroup Vice President of Information Technology and Operations is a pivotal leadership role that combines deep technical expertise with executive management capabilities to drive our technology strategy forward. This role is responsible for developing and enforcing comprehensive technology architecture, guidelines and best practices across all IT development projects. This person will manage a diverse IT portfolio, optimize resource allocation, and provide key inputs for prioritization. This role will lead our team of engineers, ensure continuous development of technology talent within our organization. The Director will also support and promote Information Technology (IT) governance and cybersecurity in the Friedkin Companies and take action to enhance cross-functional coordination (e.g., business owners, tech delivery teams, product owners) & expand internal communications. The Director must be cognizant of broad technology trends, and, where appropriate, sponsor and/or support the introduction of new technologies. This role demands a strategic visionary who can also dive deep into technology solutions, offering both leadership and technical guidance to build new tech capabilities, transform IT operations, and align them closely with overall business strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop IT roadmap and strategy with current & emerging technologies and solutions needed to support GSFS strategic vision.
  • Be the interface between GSFSGroup IT and Corporate IT. Work with The Friedkin Group IT to align GSFSGroup IT with The Friedkin Group IT vision and strategy.
  • Identify emerging technology trends, especially in SaaS and cloud computing, and ensure the company is leveraging them when appropriate to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and drive value.
  • Provide strategic input to existing programs and participate in business planning and strategy discussions with transformation team
  • Work closely with portfolio lead and business owners to manage and prioritize projects, balancing short-term and long-term needs effectively, align on success criteria with business owners and portfolio lead.
  • Collaborate with change specialist to ensure smooth rollout of transformation initiatives & change management.
  • Analyze investments, value and risks for technology initiatives to drive portfolio prioritization.
  • Work closely with product owners to define product vision, roadmaps and execution plans that align with business needs.
  • Focus on development and delivery of scalable and sustainable solutions within the constraints of our existing technical architecture while at the same time focusing on architectural design, development and delivery of strategic solutions.
  • Drive implementation of new business capabilities (e.g., transformation work, AI/ML, data science) that aligns with overall business strategy.
  • Lead engineering efforts to design, implement and maintain scalable, efficient and secure tech solutions tied to strategic objectives.
  • Organize, lead and coach overall technology team –including other Directors, developers, business analysts, & IT Operations.
  • Establish, track and report specific metrics and KPIs to measure IT impact of digital transformation initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and manage technology budget.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and development paths for IT staff, emphasizing importance of innovation and agility in technology development.
  • Manage strategic vendor relations to ensure continuous improvement in technology procurement and deployment.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence and innovation within IT and engineering teams, hiring and developing top talent, and promoting continuous learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or business administration, master's degree is a plus, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 plus years of experience, director level experience preferred; Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to technology team in a fast paced and dynamic environment to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions that meet or exceed business expectations.
  • Proven ability to develop IT architecture, enforce technology standards, and foster best practices in software development and infrastructure management.
  • Expert knowledge in engineering principles, with hands-on experience in leading the development and implementation of scalable and secure technology solutions.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in IT, product management, engineering, and vendor relationship management.
  • Agile and adaptable, able to lead through change and guide the organization through technology transformations while focusing on strategic goals.
  • Experience leading past business-led transformation projects, (e.g., digitizing customer interfaces, implementing ERP systems).
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire team through exemplary people leadership and to successfully, plan, delegate and execute on complex project initiatives.
  • Has successfully led development and delivery of multiple complex business technology solutions into production that have achieved or surpassed business goals.
  • Expertise with managing application development at scale.
  • Deep experience with cloud architecture and deployment is a must. Must have hands on experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, CI/CD, containerization, agile frameworks).
  • Demonstrated project management experience - planning, estimation, execution, issue/risk management and resource management/allocation.
  • Experience architecting technical solutions for complex problems and delivering them to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Enthusiastic about coaching and mentoring others helping them develop their careers.
  • Ability to become a trusted advisor by building and managing relationships with clients, colleagues, vendors, and other industry professionals.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises department managers. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day; and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate is occasionally required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis).
