MSSQL Senior Database Administrator

Cognizant has an immediate opening for a SQL database administrator with expert expertise in SQL DBA and SQL Always-on , if your background meets the requirements and skills listed below, this could be the ideal opportunity for you

Location : Onsite Raritan NJ Days from client location ) / Hybrid ( 2 days from home )

Job responsibilities :

· Responsible for the maintenance and security of Microsoft SQL Server databases in testing, and production environments.

· Responsible for planning and managing database backup and recovery.

· Responsible for configuring and managing disaster recovery.

· Responsible for maintenance of the databases.

· Responsible to work closely with other teams.

· Clear understanding of MSSQL Database architecture.

· Experience in Database patching, Database upgrade, Database Migration

· Experience in performance tuning.

· Experience in setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of Always-On.

· Ability to do capacity planning and DB configuration for high performance

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 5/3/2024. The annual salary for this position is between 98,000 to 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
