Hawai'i Pacific Health is a not-for-profit health care network with over 70 locations statewide including medical centers, clinics, physicians and other caregivers serving Hawai'i and the Pacific Region with high quality, compassionate care. Its four medical centers - Kapi'olani, Pali Momi, Straub and Wilcox - specialize in innovative programs in women's health, pediatric care, cardiovascular services, cancer care, bone and joint services and more. Hawai'i Pacific Health is recognized nationally for its excellence in patient care and the use of electronic health records to improve quality and patient safety.
Our Physician Billing department works with physicians, hospital administration and patients to provide billing and collection services throughout Hawai'i Pacific Health. Our staff takes care to enter complete, timely and accurate physician billing data into the Accounts Receivable System and process accurate refunds to patients and third party payers. We value these relationships and promote collaboration between clients, providers and administrators to ensure that services are properly provided and paid for.
As the Supervisor, you are responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Physician Billing department. In this position, your tasks include developing and implementing procedures; monitoring and tracking claim submissions both electronic and paper, monitoring edits, reviewing claim specs, monitoring provider pin numbers, tracking claims pending adjudication, responding to insurance inquires and denials, and monitoring credits. You will work in unison with all other Physician Billing staff as well as the Hospital Revenue Cycle staff and other departments to achieve the goals and targets set by the Revenue Cycle Management team. You will also assist in creating Policies and Procedures, training new employees, and tracking productivity and other essential information.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Management and/or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Three (3) years of progressive experience in a fast-paced corporate environment to include successful leadership, management, and/or supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience of staff within a service industry focused on excellence. Previous experience as a successful coach or mentor.

Hawai'i Pacific Health offers a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that includes pay and benefits. The pay rate, if displayed, is the minimum hourly rate for the position. Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.
