Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Assistant Controller, Foundation. The Assistant Controller, Foundation is responsible for the financial management and oversight of nearly 3,800 funds for the Foundation, including over 900 endowment funds totaling approximately $200 million with new gifts invested quarterly. The Assistant Controller's responsibilities include financial accountability and compliance with Federal, State and Nevada system of Higher Education (NSHE) requirements for accounting, taxes and financial management.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of related professional work experience OR

Master's Degree and two (2) year of related professional work experience

Related Experience: Includes progressively responsible financial management experience to include college/university or governmental accounting; progressively responsible experience; and preparing financial statements or related experience.

Certification and Licensure

CPA preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA licensure to include public accounting auditing experience, nonprofit experience and tax preparation, experience with IRS substantiation rules and Federal or state grant experience.

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees

The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate.
