Supervisory Audiologist

About the Position: This position is located in the Audiology/Speech Department, at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

• Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

• Perform full range of Audiology services and independently selects, administers, and interprets audiological, and electrophysiological tests for a full range of surgical and non-surgical patients' eligible for care.
• Conduct complex testing of pre-surgical cases. Selects, orders, fits, and evaluates hearing aids using but not limited to probe-tube microphone instrumentation and verifies appropriateness of hearing aid fitting.
• Perform follow-up care, including satisfaction surveys, and prepares written reports of findings and recommendations.
• Supervise Audiology staff consisting of clinicians, technicians, and students. Position has authority to hire, fire, promote, furlough, recall, approve leave, layoff, suspend, remove, discipline, award, and reassign.
• Coordinate training programs, budget allocations and agendas of training. Develops training programs for graduate students, new staff employees and for physician residents during clinical rotations.
• Direct the day-to-day operations of the Audiology and Speech Branch of the Department of Surgery
