Summary

About the Position: Works under the general supervision receiving assignments from a higher graded Natural Resource Management Specialists. Familiar assignments are assigned with general instructions without explicit detail. Explicit instructions are provided on special, unfamiliar, or unusual assignments.

This is a Seasonal/Temporary, Not-to-Exceed (NTE) 12-months Park Ranger position.



Duties
  • Meet the visiting public, providing general assistance and information concerning available facilities and recreational opportunities. Participate in education and outreach by assisting Park Rangers with special events.
  • Create positive connections with the visiting public through land and water patrols while actively promoting the USACE Water Safety program.
  • Perform a variety of duties involving the operation and maintenance of area facilities to include safety, security, and service inspections.
  • Assist in inspecting and reporting on trespasses, encroachments, and damages to Government property. Perform environmental stewardship tasks as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
