The Section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Internal Medicine at Atrium Health Wake Forest University School of Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center seeks a full-time GI clinician-educator at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank.
Highlights:
- Rotate on inpatient GI consultation teaching and inpatient endoscopy services at Carolinas Medical Center monthly
- Participate in outpatient GI consultation and endoscopy services delivered at Carolinas Medical Center, affiliated ambulatory surgery centers, and the GI Fellows Clinic
- Opportunities for teaching Gastroenterology Fellows
Candidate Profile:
- MD or DO and board certification in Gastroenterology required.
- Prior clinical educator experience at an academic medical center required, 3+ years preferred.
- Prior or active involvement in research and scholarship preferred.
- Demonstrate a passion for and commitment to teaching medical students, residents, and GI fellows, as well as teaching fellows endoscopy.
