Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach

School Information:

Westover School is a girls-centered boarding and day school education experience for grades 9-12. We are committed to providing a college preparatory education in a small community atmosphere that emphasizes student-adult interaction. Westover School is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and dedicated Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach for the 2024 fall season. Practices will take place during weekday afternoons and matches are typically played on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with a few exceptions.

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience coaching at the high school or college level and/or a successful personal background in volleyball.

Have extensive knowledge of game strategies, the ability to develop technical skills as well as the ability to plan and direct competitively appropriate and fun practices.

Have a proven track record of success.

Be passionate about the sport, enthusiastic about coaching young adults, and excited to make a difference in the lives of their players.

Safely and effectively coach and travel with the team.

Carry out the policies and protocols detailed in Westover's Coaching Handbook.

Possess or be willing to obtain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.

Demonstrate sound judgment and professionalism.

Be relentlessly positive, friendly, warm, and dedicated.

Be collaborative and work well with Varsity Coaches and members of the Athletic Department.

Pass Federal and State background checks.

CT drivers license with an "A" endorsement is a plus.
