Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Senior Accountant, youll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. Your responsibilities include assisting with general ledger activities, conducting month-end closing tasks, preparing account reconciliations, and undertaking special projects assigned by the CFO, Controller, and Assistant Controller. Its crucial to uphold the facilitys Standards of Performance and ICARE values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • Accounting experience, preferably in healthcare preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and database software.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Ability to utilize various analytical tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and third-party payer systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete month-end journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Execute assigned tasks and special projects.
  • Assist with daily activities within the Accounting department.
  • Ensure timely completion of all responsibilities.
  • Foster teamwork within the department.
  • Address inquiries from other departments, corporate, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Uphold the facilitys Standards of Performance and ICARE values.

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a 250+ bed facility. We are Tennessees first comprehensive stroke center and a national leader in neuroscience. In addition, we are equipped with 3 helipads, new ICU and Medical/Surgical floors, and burn care services. We offer a CARF accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation program and are an ACS verified Level II Trauma Center.
