Summary

This position is to join our Sensor team for an early career, growth opportunity simulating fast jet Targeting Pods in our world class training devices. As part of the team, you will be supporting developing, testing our Targeting Pods models on training devices working along with experience pilots to produce the highest fidelity simulation. The candidate will work in a collaborative Agile environment, contributing to Radar software products and features spanning the entire development lifecycle

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Producing algorithms for Targeting Pods Software Models
  • Design, develop, code, integrate and test Sensors model to meet system requirements
  • Demonstration of strong analytical, applied math, and problem-solving skills
  • Apply software engineering principles to complete assigned tasks and schedule commitment
  • Complete work with a limited amount of direction
  • Ability to work within and positively contribute to a team environment
  • Maintain, Upgrade, and Improve existing Sensor models

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance is required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline
  • Candidate should be a fast learner with very strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Object-Oriented programming techniques and design patterns
  • Experience developing software for LINUX Realtime OS
  • Ability to carry tasks through to completion with only general technical direction
  • Atlassian Jira or IBM Rational ClearQuest experience
  • Good communications skills
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role

Preferred Skills

  • Strong C/C++ skills with strong Math Skills
  • Experience with Standard Template Library (STL)
  • Experience developing in a Linux environment
  • Understanding of Configuration Management

Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment

[This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
