Position Overview:

A reputable AM 200 Law Firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Litigation Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a wide range of construction-related disputes, including contract disputes, construction defects, mechanic's liens, delay claims, and other matters arising from construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, a deep understanding of construction law, and a proven track record of success in resolving construction disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.


Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of construction litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and support arguments.

Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.

Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes through alternative dispute resolution methods.

Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on construction-related issues, contracts, and disputes.

Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to effectively manage cases and meet client needs.

Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case developments and strategies.


Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing construction litigation.

Strong litigation skills, including experience with all stages of the litigation process.

Deep understanding of construction law, including contracts, liens, bonds, and regulations.

Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred
Qualifications:

Experience representing clients in complex construction litigation matters.

Trial experience, including first-chair trial experience.

Knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices in the construction industry.

Familiarity with construction-related documents and software, such as construction contracts, blueprints, and project management software.
