Intern Country: United States of America Intern will be provided with the opportunity to learn about fiduciary principles and risks and how BSI mitigates them. During the internship the Fiduciary Risk Team will be providing exposure in two main projects.

Through these two projects the candidate will learn new concepts and will gain meaningful experience doing independent research, sharing ideas with team members and participating in the digital transformation. This opportunity will also provide the candidate with an opportunity to build relationships across multiple disciplines in addition to Risk and Compliance colleagues. Learning opportunities:

1. The candidate will learn about financial products and services offered by the Bank, she or he will be exposed to the existing marketing material developed by business owners, Intern will read to learn, search for market comparables and by performing research in regulatory and corporate guidelines to get ideas for enhancements. Additionally, the Intern will be participating with the Fiduciary Risk Director in a project to identify critical information to deliver to clients systematically though the new digital tool like Smart Marketing. 2. The Intern will learn about regulatory expectations by analyzing recent enforcement actions against JP Morgan and others and highlighting the reasons for those actions and fines (over $350 million).

These actions and supporting documentation provide entities with a roadmap towards meeting regulatory expectations. The Intern will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of BSI's fiduciary program by reviewing existing policies, procedures, system processes, and committee reporting. The term of 6 months is estimated to gain proper knowledge of the thorough reviews required of all investment product approvals as well as continuous monitoring of performance, governance, risk, and compliance.

Time will also be spent on client profile requirements, investment proposals, and continuous testing. The Intern will use this knowledge of regulatory expectations to help identify ways to proactively mitigate the clear gaps in BSI's program. These gaps will then help the Supervisor adapt existing processes to meet heightened regulatory expectations.

The Intern will learn by working closely with the Supervisor to update policies and procedures while enhancing existing investment surveillance capabilities across the 1st and 2nd lines of defense. The Santander Effect Our work touches 140 million lives every day.
