SLUCare Physician Group, which is a part of SSM Health, is looking for a full-time assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. The team focuses on delivering evidence-based patient care and educating medical students, residents, and fellows.
Operating mainly at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, the primary pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with Saint Louis University, this facility boasts 195 licensed beds and provides over 60 pediatric programs and services.
Academic time is safeguarded to concentrate on teaching, developing curricula, enhancing quality, safety initiatives, mentorship, simulation-based education, and fostering innovation. Collaboration with medical and surgical subspecialties is key, along with acting as the main admitting service for select medical specialties and undertaking consulting roles for surgical colleagues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide academic inpatient hospitalist services for patients
- Engage in educational programs at different levels
- Lead research or scholarly initiatives in pediatric hospital medicine
- Carry out various hospital faculty responsibilities including committee work, curriculum building, counseling students, and administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- MD/DO Degree
- Eligible for Licensure in Missouri
- Board certified in Pediatrics
- Completed a 3-year pediatric residency
- Preferably trained in pediatric hospital medicine fellowship
