Position Information

Description & Details:

The School of Natural Resource Sciences (SNRS) at North Dakota State University is seeking an outstanding individual for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, in the area of applied soil physics. The successful candidate will join SNRS faculty whose areas of focus include soil science, range science, entomology, and natural resources management and share the common goal of improving the livelihoods of North Dakota citizens while contributing to the scientific community. Duties of the successful candidate include: conducting laboratory and field research in the area of applied soil physics and hydrology; mentoring graduate and undergraduate students; developing a nationally recognized research program; securing funding through external sources; teaching a course related to the discipline; and serving on School, College, and University committees.

Currently, SNRS has 23 full-time faculty members with diverse expertise. We also have 19 research staff and strong administrative support. Facilities available to this position include a state-of-the-art greenhouse complex, laboratory space, and access to field research locations throughout North Dakota, including possible collaborations with seven Research Extension Centers.
