Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As an Supervisory Auditor, you will use your knowledge of and experience with auditing and/or accounting standards, and principles to optimize business results and customer experience by:

  1. Planning, developing, coordinating and/or modifying techniques and methods; conducting, analyzing, and interpreting the results for audit/reviews assignments using a variety of professional auditing principles, standards, methods, and techniques to include interviews, computer and statistical analysis, and questionnaires.
  2. Analyzing techniques, methods and procedures before and during audit/review, modifying techniques as necessary, ensuring records accurately reflect transactions, and verifying that operations are efficient and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Analyzing data and information, interpreting results, and completing reports for audits/reviews, providing thorough explanations and rationale when a clear linkage does not exist between findings and program requirements or controls.
  3. Overseeing the Resolution of Federal (Office of Inspector General (OIG)) audits and non-Federal audits (Single Audits, formerly OMB Circular A-133 per Subpart F of 45 CFR Part 75), including: identifying relevant audit findings; obtaining appropriate documentation (auditee responses, corrective actions plans, etc.,); and preparing Audit Resolution Letters and responses to appeals.
  4. Responsible for daily direction and oversight of all aspects of OFAS' internal and external audit and oversight function and at a moment's notice must be able to brief the OFAS Director of past, present and planned audit and oversight activities, processes and improvements.
