Ferroglobe is one of the leaders in supplying silicon metal, silicon-based and manganese-based specialty alloys, and ferroalloys to various industries like solar, automotive, consumer products, construction, and energy.

What you will do:

  • Operate CAT 777 rock trucks (articulating dump trucks)
  • Assist with training and mentoring equipment operators
  • Perform pre-shift inspection of equipment
  • Communicate using two-way radio
  • Conduct minor maintenance activities
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Lift up to thirty (30) pounds during work
  • Work non-standard schedules including shift work in a 24/7 /365 operation
  • Pass pre-employment, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol screening

What we seek:

  • 1 + years of machine experience in mining, quarry, construction, and/or earthmoving operations
  • Current MSHA certification
  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments, procedures, and safety standards
  • Capable of working in a potentially stressful environment

Criteria/Working Conditions:

  • Regularly required to perform various physical activities
  • Occasionally lift moderately heavy objects up to thirty (30) pounds
  • PPE required including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and more
  • Mandatory drug testing to maintain a drug/alcohol-free workplace
