. We seek a dynamic, flexible, and creative individual who loves teaching and understands how to engage Kindergarten students in joyful learning. Building on Fay's existing program, this teacher will be a homeroom teacher and collaborate with colleagues to teach Kindergarten students in the Primary School. This is a full-time, school-year position and is eligible for benefits. Campus housing may be available.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of elementary school teaching experience. A bachelor's degree in elementary education or a related field is required; a master's degree is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessonsAssessing students' progress and learning Effectively using technology to enhance instruction Conducting parent conferences and communicating effectively with parents and families As a homeroom teacher, serve as a primary point of contact with parents and families Attending team and department meetings and school events as required Engaging in two trimesters of afternoon duties as assigned Fay School values teachers who believe in differentiated and developmentally-aligned approaches to teaching and learning, integrate instructional technology, understand the importance of cultural competence, and are attuned to the social and emotional growth of young students.
