Sitting at a desk/computer; push or carry items up to 25 lbs; campus errands; regular use of a computer and media technology

Shift

10-20 hours per week – flexible hours based on student's class schedule

Day shift with occasional evening requirements
The Office of Undergraduate Research is open Monday – Friday 9am – 4:30pm

No weekend hours

Job Summary

The Office of Undergraduate Research seeks a Student Marketing and Communications Assistant for the academic year.

Duties of this position include, but not limited to:

  • Assist with communication efforts through campus outreach, graphic design, social media scheduling, website updates, and digital marketing strategies
  • Curate content – develop written and visual communications for print, web and social media
  • Interview students, faculty and alumni
  • Create informational videos and photography
  • Assist with event management and execution including: event marketing, setup, check-in of attendees, facilitation, cleanup and other duties as assigned
  • Assist with general office support and customer service
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

  • Possess excellent customer service skills as well as a professional and willing attitude.
  • Must be reliable and be able to professionally interact with stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, and alumni
  • Organized, creative, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
  • MS Office and Google Drive experience
  • Video editing and photography experience
  • Experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok
