IT Specialist

This position is Bargaining Unit with the National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 208

This position ISNOT subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure Reporting requirements and Security Ownership Restriction reporting requirements.

The specific duties will vary based on placement and the qualification of the applicant related to: Information Security and Customer Support.

Examples of duties include:

Planning and delivering IT services and systems.

Providing assistance with administering information security programs.

Developing solutions to integration and interoperability issues.

Implementing new technologies to adapt IT methods to a variety of situations and problems.

Analyzing and evaluating work related to integrated systems of IT programs and/or IT equipment.

Developing and presenting information and briefings on IT issues, problems, and projects to management officials and program staff.

Supporting the requirements of IT systems and customers by participating in the development and design of applications, selection and acquisition of IT hardware and software, and the installation, testing, and acceptance processes.
