IT Specialist

This position is in the DoD Office of Inspector General, Office of the CIO. The incumbent is an Information Technology Specialist in the OCIO that serves as a technical advisor to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Technical Officer (CTO), and Chief Enterprise Architect and performs duties as the Business Architecture subject matter expert. Serves as the Business Architecture subject matter expert (SME) and provides technical guidance, roadmaps, principles, standards, and best practices.

• Support business and IT stakeholders providing process, journey mapping, application of business process modeling standards, resource mapping, and outcome aligned process architectures describing the OIG's Business Architecture.
• Coordinate with OIG process owners, process improvement, and others to build and manage the Business Architecture to ensure it describes the current (AS-IS) baseline, describes target state requirements, and transformational requirements.
• Develop customer journey maps that describe the customer state, expectations, and "Job to be done". Work with business process owners to optimize process outcomes and products to the needs of the customer journey.
• Assess business-centric views to ensure they describe business outcomes, deliverables, KPIs, and resources required to deliver value to the customer. Improve business outcomes through the identification of gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Work with the Data Architect, Information Owners, and Process Managers to document data and business information. Ensures the Business Architecture describes the information owned, required, consumed, and produced by each business process area.
• Work with Solution Architects to ensures the Business Architecture describes the use, alignment, and functionality of technology resources required by each business process to deliver product and outcomes in alignment with identified KPIs.
