Job Summary:

Operates CMM/Faro machines to measure parts accurately and efficiently. Assist with measurement of prototype production parts as needed. Individual is responsible for reporting CMM/Faro results to other plant engineers or technicians in effective manner to allow for correction of dimensions in production.

Required Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Demonstrated effective communication, both written and verbal, skills.
  • Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to understand Geometric dimensioning & Tolerancing.
  • English required.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience in operating CMMs and/or Faro Arm.
  • CMM 101 certification.
  • PC-DMIS certification.
  • Spanish and/or Vietnamese preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Operate Faro Arm and Hexagon CMM machines to measure both new and current parts.
  • Perform torque testing on various parts.
  • Assist with hand gauges including but not limited to height stands, calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Measure production and prototype parts via other measurement methods (surface plate, calipers, etc).
  • Accurately report and document results.
  • Less than 10% travel required.
