EMPLOYMENT TERMS: The Department of Fine & Performing Arts at Northwest Missouri State University seeks a pool of candidates who can serve as Adjunct Faculty in Art and teach one or more classes as needed in studio art disciplines. These may include: 2D Design, 3D Design, Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Photography, Ceramics, Fibers, and Sculpture. Potential need specifically for 2D Design.
PRIMARY DUTY: Provide classroom instruction in studio art for art students majoring in Studio Art, Art Education, Graphic Design, and Digital Media.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Teach one or more studio art classes, as and if needed.
Work effectively and constructively with students, faculty, and staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: MFA in Studio Art.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Highly collaborative academic environment in a Fine and Performing Arts Department at a regional, comprehensive university. Faculty use Canvas, an online learning management system, and are provided with a laptop computer.
EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS USED: Laptop computer, technology enhanced classrooms, and online course and information management systems.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to complete essential classroom functions and the ability to lift and carry 20 pounds.
