Serves as the primary legal advisor and Legal Center point of contact for the Commander/Deputy of the Joint Munitions Command (MC) and JMC senior leaders, on issues affecting mission, operations, production, and relations with external entities.

Responsible for providing legal guidance and staff supervision in the areas of Procurement, Contract Litigation, Procurement Fraud, Fiscal Law, and other areas.

Performs independently, on their own initiative, without preliminary instruction or technical guidance, in accordance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Routinely briefs senior leaders at the General Officer/SES level

Advises on all legal aspects of the ammunition enterprise, to include but not limited to operations, acquisitions, and fiscal law, as well as commercial utilization of ammunition plants/depots.

Provides support and technical oversight for the JMC installation attorneys, including support for actions being worked through HQ JMC.

Provides legal advice and assistance on formation, negotiation, administration, and termination of contracts which may involve unique, complex, or unprecedented legal issues.

Exercises technical and administrative supervision over assigned employees involved in various fields of law.

Advises on the interpretation of laws, including the Competition in Contracting Act and the Procurement Integrity Act, and regulations as applicable to the various procurements.

Monitors and coordinates all criminal, civil, contractual, and administrative remedies for each significant case of fraud or corruption arising out of any activity with the Procurement Fraud Advisor.

Defends the Army's interests in protests, contract disputes, and other litigation, working with AMC, Department of Army, and Department of Justice attorneys.
