RN Med Surg Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to patients admitted to the Medical-Surgical unitPerform initial patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plansImplement, evaluate, and adjust patient care plans according to the established protocols and guidelines of the hospitalCollaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomesMonitor patient health status and vital signs and report any changes to the medical teamAdminister medications and treatments as prescribed by physiciansEducate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge careAdhere to infection control protocols, maintaining a safe and sterile environmentDocument patient information, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely mannerAdhere to established policies and procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality and professional conductMonitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in a patient's condition *Please note that responsibilities are at the discretion of the facility and may vary Facility Requirements: Minimum of 9 months Med Surg experience in the last 2 years (preffered)Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in this state or a compact state licenseCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationExcellent interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on facility needsReliable transportation and the ability to travel to different healthcare facilities within the area RN Med Surg Qualifications: Here are basic qualifications and fundamental nursing skills of Nursa RNs: Current and valid RN license Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Knowledge of nursing procedures and protocols Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to provide compassionate and reliable care RN Med Surg Benefits: RNs who find jobs with Nursa enjoy all of the following advantages: Competitive hourly ratesFast and straightforward paymentsFlexible scheduling to accommodate all preferences and lifestylesAccess to a wide range of per diem jobs and other short-term assignmentsUser-friendly platform and downloadable app for easy job booking Get Started in Minutes: Nursa enables registered nurses (RNs) to work when and where they want.
