Concessions Cashier, Runner

CHARLESTON PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL COMPANY, LLC.CASHIER / RUNNERPOSITION SUMMARY:Cashiers are expected to provide the guests excellent customer service. This includes greeting the customer, welcoming them, and assisting them with a smile. They will be responsible for operating and balancing a cash register. Cashiers must be able to accurately take the guests orders and fulfil them, if necessary. They will also assist with pre-stocking and post-stocking the stands. Cashiers will assist with the setup, cleaning, sanitation and closing of workstation and area. Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment is necessary. Cashiers will report to Concessions Supervisors and Managers. This is a part-time seasonal position. The season runs from April through mid-September, and this employee is expected to work most of the baseball games (60+ games per year) and any other events held at the facility over the course of the year. This schedule varies and includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing the transaction.
• Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels, and communicating to Concessions Supervisors and Managers of low stock items.
• Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work space including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages responsibly. Must check guest's ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.

· Represent CPBC in a professional manner both inside and outside the organization

· Perform duties as workload necessitates

· Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, candidate must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be 16 or over
• Three or more months' experience in food service industry preferred
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system
• Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
