MISSION / SUMMARY:
The Asst.

Superintendent will be responsible for safe and stable operation of three Power Boilers (PB1, PB2, PB3), one Riley Package Boiler, (3) electrical Turbine Generators (27MW, 37MW, 18MW), boiler water treatment, demineralizers, polishers and their supporting subsystems including water treatment lab, purchased fuel handling, storage and conveying equipment.


JOB FUNCTIONS:
Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Exhibiting safety leadership and encouraging safety engagement
  • Ensuring 100% environmental compliance
  • Ensuring 100% compliance to State, insurance and company operating regulations
  • Working with Power Supervisor to engage crews in CLIPS, 5s and safety improvements
  • Supporting crew training, blended learning, and certification activities
  • Setting daily, weekly and monthly operations priorities.
  • Monitoring process health while meeting daily, weekly and monthly operational targets
  • Working with Manufacturing Excellence (ME) organization and process engineering to implement sustainable cost reduction projects
  • Working with Reliability organization and process control implement sustainable reliability improvement projects
  • Support Major outage planning and execution activities

Required Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
-5 plus years of relevant power maintenance or operations management experience
