This position is located in the Office of Environmental Health and Engineering, Division of Engineering Services with the Indian Health Service.
The incumbent of the position will be responsible for the planning, acquisition, utilization and disposal of IHS leased and purchased real estate property.
The incumbent will perform advertising, negotiation and award of lease contracts to support real estate needs IHS.Duties

Direct Leasing
Plan, execute, and manage leases of lands and facilities with Tribes under the authority of Public Law Indian Health Care Improvement Act.
Plan, executes, and manages leases of land and facilities with Tribes for housing regional alcohol and drug abuse treatment centers under the authority of Section 2205 of the Omnibus Drug Act Amendment of 1988.
GSA Assigned Space
Reviews IHS space requests for accuracy and conformance with statutory, regulatory, and procedural guidelines making appropriate correction and subsequently coordinating the request with GSA.
Leased Space:
Observe and participate in the site selection, ordering, surveys, soils analyses, seismic evaluations, land appraisals, negotiating purchase or lease of land or space, makes capital lease determinations.
