At MedStar Health Home Care, nurses make a positive difference in people's lives by helping patients heal in the comfort of their own homes. RNs develop an individualized care plan for each patient and then help patients and their caregivers achieve progress toward their goals for improved health and independence. As a home health nurse at MedStar Health Home Care, you have the autonomy to make individualized patient-centered decisions to promote optimal clinical care.
Location / Territory: Washington DC
Experienced and new-to-practice Registered Nurses are encouraged to explore our Home Care career path. RN Clinicians are compensated on a per-visit schedule, which aligns with the type of visit / acuity of patient seen and treated in field. All applicants must have an Associate's level degree, or above, in Nursing. Active licensure in the state / territory where associate works is also required.

EducationBachelor's degree or Graduation from a diploma, Associate's degree program in Nursing Required BSN Preferred Experience1-2 years RN experience (ICU, CCU, Med-Surg, Oncology, Gerontology) within last 5 years Required 1-2 years Home health nursing experience or successful completion of LPN to RN competency assessment Preferred Licenses and Certifications Valid RN license in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia, or any combinations required based on work location(s) Required and CPR certification Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesI.V. therapy skills.Organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Basic computer skills preferred.Smart Phone experience; wound care experience.
