General Description:The Facilities Operations Manager (Card Access Hardware and Software Systems) determines plans related to the ID card and electronic door access hardware and software systems, sets and monitors departmental goals, establishes team workflows, chooses technology to invest in, and facilitates collaboration across the college. The Manager will plan and oversee the department's budget. This is a mid to senior level position.Duties and Tasks:Oversee and manage all aspects of the College's ID card hardware and software systems, including electronic access, college printing, and other related hardware.Manage all aspects of door access hardware and software systems, including installation, programming, and maintenance on current college doors and new build (capital) and college-wide projects.Develop, enhance, and manage the college's ID Card hardware and software systems, and supporting database systems and servers, including provisions for system backups, maintenance, database integrity, and data security.Manage technical support and maintenance of the college's print services, staff development, training, and tracking operating supplies.Oversees and determines time frames for significant department projects, including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages, and identifies and acts on opportunities to improve and update software and systems. Provides after-hours support as necessary.Responsible for the preparation and monitoring of the annual operating budget.Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement.Supervised and managed personnel, including work allocation, training, promotion and enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution; evaluated performance and made recommendations for personnel actions; motivated employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
