CMS Chief Information Officer and Director, Office of Information Technology

Initiates policy directives to ensure information resources management operations and decisions are integrated with the agency strategic priorities, budget, financial management, human resources, and organizational planning.
Drives the enablement of CMS employees and CMS programs, including administration and legislative initiatives, by providing IT services, products, and guidance through the combined lens of "people, process, and technology".
Coordinates on strategic and operational IT issues between CMS components, other HHS and Federal agencies with direct business operation and technical interfaces.
Leads forward-thinking and innovative strategic IT planning and operational delivery. Provides value to customers through IT products and services and mission-enabling capabilities.Positions the organization to achieve mission success through delivery of cost-effective, innovative, reliable and/or emerging technologies, and through strategic procurement of hardware, software, and user-centered IT solutions.
Establishes goals and strategy for improvement and modernization of the Agency's IT systems and services to enable CMS program productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness, and methods for measuring progress.
Formulates the Agency's overall information technology strategic vision to align with and support programmatic and business goals and direction, with a strong customer focus.
