WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior Analyst within BCG's Energy Practice Area knowledge team, you will work in a global team, supporting Senior Leaders of Top Oil & Gas companies while leveraging your digital expertise to overcome their most pressing business challenges.

We work with the industry's most advanced players, helping them develop their strategic priorities.

At BCG, collaboration is at the heart of innovation. You will work closely with our leadership and client teams in the US by taking on the role of a trusted expert partner. Your contributions will include:
  • Performing in-depth analysis
  • Delivering expert advisory services
  • Deploying proprietary Digital in Energy tools
  • Leading workshops and client sessions to facilitate the adoption of digital tools and methodologies, driving forward the digital maturity of our clients
In this role, you will not only share your insights but also help shape solutions to complex strategic challenges. You'll drive digital transformation in the oil and gas industry while directly interacting with clients and BCG leadership.

Your expertise will be a cornerstone for advancing our internal knowledge, and you will play a key role in developing our intellectual property and expanding our repository of knowledge assets.

This role is vital for supporting our cutting-edge digital, AI, and IT transformation initiatives within the Oil and Gas sector. You will help craft BCG's perspective and offering on disruptive technologies such as generative AI, and collaborate with business leaders to drive commercialization efforts through conferences and publications. YOU'RE GOOD AT
  • Conducting rigorous data analysis and generating insights for clients to inform strategic decisions and operational improvements
  • Understanding how digital solutions can be applied to enhance business outcomes and strategic initiatives within oil and gas companies in the US
  • Having expertise in designing and developing technology strategies and transforming core business processes for IT and Business Units in O&G companies
  • Helping IT units of Oil & Gas companies to deal with key strategic decisions on their Core systems (ERP, CRM), Data Platforms, Cybersecurity, IT costs, and more
  • Leveraging proprietary tools, like BCG's GenAI toolkit, to excel as an expert consulting teammate
  • Navigating complexity and ambiguity
  • Communicating with senior stakeholders in a credible and confident manner, with strong slide writing skills
  • Codifying knowledge and maintaining our internal IP assets and tools for the IT and Digital in Oil & Gas topic
  • Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic, proficient in agile ways of working
  • Demonstrating flexibility and a curious and creative mindset, open to new ideas and capable of proposing innovative solutions
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• 2+ years of consulting experience in digital transformation efforts of Oil & Gas clients required.

• In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required working in IT/Digital Departments of Oil & Gas or companies working for the Oil & Gas industry in digitalization efforts.

• Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences or business administration preferred). Other advanced degrees will be also considered

• Fluency in English, other languages requested in certain locations

• Good understanding of technology enabled business transformation, digital solution spaces, and application and technology stacks adopted by leading players in Oil & Gas Industry.

• Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment
As a Senior Analyst In the knowledge team you will collaborate with US topic leaders and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. Our team is made up of a diverse pool of knowledge positions that allow us to pursue exciting, innovative knowledge careers.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.

BCG's Knowledge Team members have the opportunity to be staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
