Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Stormwater Environmental Scientist to provide water quality compliance services to Department of Defense (DOD) clients.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Prepare and review Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
  • Research, review, and analyze water quality policy and regulations.
  • Support regulatory compliance tasks relating to stormwater management.
  • Review and assess storage tank compliance methodologies employed at a facility and provide feedback and creative solutions to reduce overall risk of non-compliance.
  • Participate in other environment-related projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education focused on water quality compliance.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's license is required for this role.
  • Nationwide travel (50% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations that implement the Clean Water Act
  • Strong focus and attention to detail
  • Strong writing, critical thinking, and reasoning skills
  • Basic knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD software
  • Knowledge of DOD management practices as they relate to environmental compliance.

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$110,
