Duties

The incumbent in this position will develop system administration requirements and specifications - adapting practices and procedures to ensure execution of priorities and compliance with sound systems management; interpreting guidelines; and adapting to new or emerging requirements.

This is a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) National Cybersecurity Workforce Framework. The incumbent performs Cybersecurity roles and responsibilities outlined in the NICE Framework.

Major duties included but are not limited to:

  • Plans, upgrades, modifies, configures, and documents communications systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Manages on and off premise-based infrastructure that supports organization Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIO) and Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) systems.
  • Identifies and assesses the extent and operational impact of network and Information Technology services for immediate service restoration actions.
  • Optimize functionality and performance of systems, maintain integrity with configuration problems and initiate corrective or preventive actions to failed systems.
  • Consults with customers to identify priorities and best approaches for integrating systems administration requirements into daily operations.
