Position Overview:
An Assortment Planner will generate and analyze statistical data with a focus on assortment, productivity, and space optimization. The role also entails providing analytics to cross functional partners, to ensure the assortment architecture gets translated appropriately.
Your Role
Pre-Season Analysis
Participate in formulation of preseason strategy with merchant and planner, partnering with planner in creating preseason financial sales and inventory plans by department, classes and/or style.Maintain style count plans by channel & store groups.Actively participate in assortment development and review, providing data and analysis to help build new assortments for each milestone meeting.Develop a financial view of recommended style and choice count by buy size, classification, and attribute. In-Season Analysis Report and analyze current buy size performance on a floor set, monthly, & seasonal basisAnalyze historical and current data trends. Identify risks and opportunities by division/department or class and collaborate with team for issue resolution.Manage key-item programs & inventory on a weekly/monthly basisYour ImpactCreate & Maintain Strong PartnershipsProvide analytical inputs to support the Integrated Product Team in strategy planning, assortment planning, and buy planning processes, so no one is surprised, and all parties are informedWork Experience & Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree in a Finance or Analytic field of study, or equivalent experience is required.Has applied systems, numeric, and analysis aptitude in previous positions.Retail experience is a plusHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel including power query and power pivot and basic excel formulas and function.Excellent analytical and communication skillsStrong organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skillsGood advocation skills (i.e. Able to present planning strategies and analysis findings) T his role can be performed from most locations within the US; however, the preferred location of the ideal candidate would be Duluth, MNThe compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements. The range of pay budgeted for this role is: $56, ,000 annualized, with additional incentive compensation and benefits.
