Responsibilities

Ascension Sacred Heart is looking for a BC/BE trauma surgeon in Pensacola, Florida.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension at what will be the region's only level I trauma I trauma center (as of May 1st, 2024)

Position Highlights:

  • Leading trauma center in the region (Largest employed, only Level I)
  • Join an established practice
  • Surgical Residents in house
  • Not required to oversee the ICU (Trauma acute care surgery and elective general surgery)
  • DaVinci robotics program with Block Time

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Florida Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Board eligibility/certification in medical specialty required.
  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
