Directs the daily activities of the pre-certification staff (chemo, non-chemo, and IP/OP surgery) and other related staff in support of the patient access / registration function.
Prepares reports, statistical summaries, time studies and quality control audits using current available technology. Provides assistance to the staff as needed, specifically for chemo accounts. Works closely with multiple hospital departments, as well as Fox Chase Revenue Cycle Leadership. Focuses closely on account financial security and payer denial avoidance.Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Associates Degree :
in a related health care field (Preferred)
Experience
3 Years experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment. (Required)
General Experience with and knowledge of insurance requirements, pre-certification/referral, insurance verification and 3rd party billing. (Required)
2 years experience in Oncology Precertification or Patient Access, preferably in an oncology program (Preferred)
