With content creation at the center, we support our clients with strategy, creative and the latest in digital services.
The Assistant Editor position at Trailer Park Group requires the person to perform a wide range of tasks across Film, TV, and Content projects. Tasks include general I/O to and from clients, transcoding assets for editorial use, social resizes, cutdowns, editorial revisions, managing the Nexis workspace, overcutting sequences with newer and/or final media, doing shot requests, graphics requests, dailies assemblies, and preps for finish. After a project has concluded, the AE's also archive the project and delete it from the Nexis.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Create and organize offline projects for editors.
- Digitize, compress & convert footage for editorial use.
- Manage assets for editorial, motion graphics and finishing.
- Research and download stock footage.
- Prep Trailers, TV spots and content for finishing.
- Learn and follow Trailer Park's organization of network, SAN storage and asset management.
- Learn and follow Trailer Park's security requirements and procedures.
- Upload and download assets through secure file transfer systems.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 1+ Years of assistant editor experience preferably within a theatrical marketing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere. Avid Media Composer is a plus but not required.
- Understanding of network storage (NAS).
- Understanding of frame rates, conversions, & Codecs
- Airtable knowledge is a plus but not required.
- Must pick up new workflows and software quickly.
- Ability to trouble shoot and solve problems with the discernment to know when to ask for help.
- Ability to work independently, possessing good communication skills and the ability to prioritize, multitask, managing upward and downward.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime with little notice.
- Willingness to work "on-call" a few weekends out of the year (paid).
- Microsoft Office a must. Photoshop, After Effects and Davinci Resolve skills a plus.
Please note this position requires on-site/in-office work in Hollywood, California. Late shift hours vary with a start time of either 12:00pm or 3:30pm. Must have a flexible schedule.
