We are hiring a Farm Equipment Operator to join the Zubke Farms team in Northeast South Dakota. In this role you will be operating a variety of agriculture equipment along with general farm work/light maintenance and truck driving during slower times. We are operating all new John Deere Equipment.

We are a family-owned and operated farm in Milbank, SD (about 45 miles northeast of Watertown and 95 miles east of Aberdeen. We are farming around 15,000 acres producing small grains, corn, and soybeans. We pride ourselves on our family-oriented culture and view our employees as members of our family, as they are the key to our continued success. What you will be doing:

  • Operating farm and other agriculture equipment with a focus on spray equipment and combines.
  • Performing light and preventative maintenance on farm and agriculture equipment.
  • Assisting in all areas of the operation depending on the needs for the season.
  • Working closely with others on the team and maintain strong communication.

This job is for you if you have:

  • Prior experience in farming or agriculture operating farm and other heavy equipment.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge working on farm and other heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of John Deere equipment and Green Star is preferred, not required.
  • Outstanding work ethic with the ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Ability to work longer hours during peak seasons.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record and ability to pass a drug test. CDL is not required
