This role ensures the efficient use of financial resources, adherence to accounting standards, and the seamless operation of the office environment. Key responsibilities include: Financial Operations:

Develop, implement, and manage financial policies and procedures for the Conference Office. Oversee the annual budget, ensuring it aligns with the organization's strategic goals. Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing regular reports to the Commissioner, Council of Presidents, and Finance Committee. Supervise the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, the corporate purchasing card program, and payroll functions. Act as the Conference's liaison to the member schools, banking partners and external accountants. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and best practices. Coordinate the annual financial audit and collaborate with the external auditors. Coordinate the annual tax submission process with the external auditors. Manage the Conference's financial reporting to the NCAA. Manage all membership contracts for full and associate members. Serve as the liaison to insurance companies to ensure adequate coverage for the organization. Human Resources: Oversee human resources policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook. Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and reporting. Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new employees. Oversee the administration of the employee benefits programs. Create, implement and manage an internship program. Office Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Conference Office to maintain a productive and efficient work environment. Manage the office facilities, including maintenance and security. Oversee the IT vendor relationship to meet the office's technology needs. Handle vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for office-related services. Ensure the availability and functionality of office equipment and supplies. Administrative Duties: Maintain and oversee the Conference's annual meeting calendar and membership directory. Plan and execute select Conference meetings, including producing meeting minutes for distribution. Maintain the Conference's administrators' website. Assist with Conference and NCAA championship administration. Perform other duties, including Commissioner delegated projects and championship support, as assigned. Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Commissioner. Benefits: Comprehensive no cost medical insurance for employee. Comprehensive no cost dental and vision insurance for employee. 403(b) retirement plan with an 8% contribution from the Conference. Accrual of 20 days annual vacation time, in addition to five wellness days each year. 22 paid holidays in the academic year. Half-day Fridays in the summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Monthly cell phone reimbursement. Working Conditions: This position is based at the Conference Office. This position requires the ability to travel and work non-traditional hours, weekends, nights and holidays.
