TV Red Hat

TV Red HatNJ/NY Gotham FC ("Gotham FC" or "the Club") is a National Women's Soccer League ("NWSL") team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.

The Role:

Gotham FC is seeking a Red Hat that will report to the Communications Manager. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the game and rules of soccer in addition to experience in sports and TV broadcasts. The candidate will have passion for women's sports and/or soccer, ability to work non-traditional hours, strong and professional communications skills in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate important match information quickly, clearly, and accurately to TV broadcast producer.
• Accurately recognize and communicate on-field referee decisions and disciplinary actions.
• Accurately identify and communicate which players are involved in key match events and substitutions.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work most Gotham FC home matches at Red Bull Arena in 2024, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of the rules of soccer.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to seek out missing information.
• Ability to interact with match officials, players, staff and media in a professional manner.

Capability & Other Characteristics:

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Location:

Based at Gotham FC's home stadium – Red Bull Arena, which is in Harrison, NJ. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events, as necessary. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC's offices, practice facility and Red Bull Arena.
