The ideal candidate is an experienced biologist, biochemist, or chemist with a history of lab management in a BSL-2 environment and expertise in mammalian cell cultivation.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Management of a BSL-2 laboratory. This responsibility includes writing, revising, and ensuring compliance with standard work procedures for a variety of laboratory tasks, maintaining an inventory of laboratory supplies, and ensuring general upkeep and cleanliness.
  • Cultivation of mammalian cell lines (e.g., Chinese hamster ovary).
  • Analysis of chemical and biological samples, including documentation of test results in compliance with a quality management system.
  • Writing test reports and presenting results to a team of scientists and engineers.

The required qualifications for the job include:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a natural science (e.g., biology, biochemistry, chemistry).
  • A minimum of two years of laboratory work experience, including hands-on experience with scientific instruments.
  • The demonstrated ability to design, execute, and draw conclusions from scientific experiments.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Laboratory management.
  • Cultivation of mammalian cells.
  • Writing and maintaining quality documents in an ISO 9001 quality management system.

The salary range for this role is $65K-$75K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
