Summary

The duties of this position are performed in all areas of the Inpatient/Outpatient Pharmacy Section, Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Augusta Georgia, Pharmacy service. The incumbent is a rotating, generalized pharmacy technician, who, under the authority of the Chief, Pharmacy Service, is directly involved in all aspects of the preparation and dispensing of drug orders and prescription items.

  • Unit Dose Medication Management
  • Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC)
  • Sterile Product Compounding (IV and Chemotherapy Admixtures)
  • Bulk compounding and Extemporaneous Compounding
  • Outpatient Pharmacy Activities
  • ScriptPro Automated Prescription Filling System
  • Controlled Substance Dispensing
  • Material Management
  • And all other duties as assigned
Work Schedule: Must be available for variable tours: days, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Subject to change based on the needs of the agency.
