Summary

This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Birmingham Disaster Loan Service Center in Birmingham, AL. Incumbent serves as a Loan Specialist and is responsible for servicing or liquidating a full range of disaster business and home loans.



Duties
  • Reviews a variety of consumer and commercial loan documents, most of which include consideration and evaluation of complication factors and determines - SBA's right in the collateral.
  • Analyzes financial statements of obligors and endeavors to determines their prospects for continued payment on consumer and commercial loans in connection with modifications of payments or other loan terms.
  • Prepares written credit recommendations and obtains supervisory approval on a variety of collection as well as real estate transactions.
  • Prepares written recommendations charges off actions on consumer and commercial loans where all collateral has been disposed of or where SBA determines that further liquidation of collateral is not economically feasible.
