Duties

If selected for this position as a GS Industrial Hygienist your duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage a comprehensive industrial hygiene program for NIH.
  • Develop instructions and control procedures covering complex potential health hazards.
  • Review plans for new or modified processes and facilities.
  • Develop policy and program objectives on a wide variety of occupational health problems.
  • Direct a training program in industrial hygiene.
  • Conduct studies and/or surveys performing analysis of industrial hygiene and safety issues.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation to management officials on industrial hygiene matters.
