Overview

Working under the guidance of licensed nursing professionals, this position involves providing direct patient care to ensure patient comfort, safety, and hygiene needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Assisting patients with essential care tasks such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding, transferring, ambulating, and bed-making.
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment, patient rooms, and designated areas.
  • Recording vital signs like blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and more.
  • Communicating patient status changes to the nursing staff, documenting care information accurately, and performing other necessary duties.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Effective communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Education

High School Diploma/GED Equivalent is Required

Experience

Preferably one year of healthcare/medical experience

Certification and Licensures

Preferably Indiana Nurse Aide Certification and Certified CPR
