Insurance Specialist

We are looking for an Insurance Coordinator to join our exciting fast-paced and growing company. As a valued member of the team, you will be responsible for managing Corporate and Single and Multi-Parent Captive insurance programs. You will analyze insurable risks and potential risk mitigation opportunities and interact with operational groups to ensure coordination between project activities, exposures and appropriate insurance coverage.
Core Functions:
- Research, evaluate and make recommendations regarding trends in risk management and loss control strategies
- Lead the annual renewal process by collecting underwriting information throughout the portfolio of companies, managing contract review, negotiating the terms and premiums and managing the brokers
- Assist with budgets, forecasts and financial reports, including the analysis for insurance premiums, financial performance of insurance programs and captives, and determination of premium allocations
- Oversee claim management efforts to include oversight of third-party administrators, communication between insurers and operational groups, facilitation of claim review meetings and analysis of claim reserves
- Negotiate and maintain strong relationships with and manage services provided by insurers, brokers, program administrators and other service providers necessary to the risk management program
- Analyze loss data and facilitate management reports.
- Coordinate broker resources to issue insurance certificates, Auto ID cards and day-to-day interactions.
- Support contract standards for risk-related provisions, assuring competitiveness and compliance with insurance policies
Our Ideal Candidate:
- A bachelor's degree in risk management, Insurance, Business, Finance or related field.
- 5-7 years' experience in multiline insurance coverages, preferably agent/brokerage environment.
- Proven ability to prioritize, organize and manage time in order to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of general insurance accounting with high aptitude for mathematical calculations.
- Self-motivated, proactive individual who will constantly seek improvement opportunities and work independently
- Proven problem solving and critical thinking ability, organization, and analytic skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
- Advanced Microsoft Office and database administration skills.
