Job Summary


Vicor is seeking a candidate to assist in establishing the wet chemistry process lab to support all plating fabrication operations for second shift.

The candidate will be working with chemicals, with PPE required and supplied by Vicor. The role with be required to make chemical adds and be able to lift maximum 30 pounds. Must have reliable transportation to bring samples for analysis at various locations.

Job Description

  • Will perform day to day analysis of all wet chemical processes.
o Titration (automatic and manual)
o CVS
o ICP

  • Performs chemical adds/decants based on analysis to ensure all processes are operating within specified limits
  • Documents all analysis within statistical software and make recommendations based on trend mapping
  • Works with Vicor safety compliance to ensure all required SDS are onsite relative to analytical chemistries/equipment
  • Maintains all lab equipment in proper working condition including maintenance and calibration
Will be required to perform the following daily analysis:
o Titration analysis
o Chromatography, mass spec
o UV/Vis, FTIR
o ICP, Graphite furnace, AA, XRF
o Thermal mechanical equipment - DSC, DMA, TMA, TGA
o CVS and/or Hull cell analysis
o Cross sectioning
o Solderability
o SEM analysis
o FIB analysis

Education / Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of directly related work experience
  • Associate degree or professional certification is required
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate capability in applying SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, etc.
  • Solid skills in problem solving, statistics, manufacturing quality, and quality principles
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems
  • Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills
