Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City – Plaza Location is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Mother/Baby Unit. You will work with a diverse patient population with various conditions, treatment plans, and acuity levels. You will work in a Couplet Care model—with mother and well-baby; educating and preparing patient families to return home with their new baby. This position will provide you the opportunity to work in conjunction with lactation consults to support breastfeeding.
Saint Luke's Hospital is a Magnet Designated Academic Medical Center with a Level III NICU with various opportunities for career growth and development. You will work with a top performing, patient centered team that is supportive, compassionate, and solution focused. They believe in helping each other, knowledge sharing, and keeping the patient at the forefront of everything they do.
Shift Details: Full Time Nights 6:45 pm to 7:15 am
The Work:
- Utilizes the nursing process
- Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff
- Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures
