Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year experience as CNA
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, such as a nursing home, hospital, or assisted living facility.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Certification in AHA CPR
  • GED/High School Diploma
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Providing basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs). This involves assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Taking and recording patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration rate.
  • Assisting with Medical Procedures: Helping with medical procedures as directed by healthcare professionals, such as wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection.
  • Patient Observation: Monitoring patients' conditions and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Patient Documentation:Maintainingaccurate and detailed records of patient care activities and observations.
  • Assisting with Rehabilitation: Supporting patients in their rehabilitation efforts through exercises and mobility assistance.
  • Ensuring Patient Comfort: Ensuring that patients are comfortable, and their immediate needs are met.
  • Safety and Infection Control: Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a safe environment for patients.
  • Communication: Communicating effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
  • Teamwork: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Emergency Response: Responding to emergencies and providing basic life support as needed.
  • Patient Education: Providing basic health education to patients and their families
