Summary

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction

Serve as a Spectrum Manager in the Transmission Branch Network Infrastructure Division, Regional Network Enterprise Center (RNEC).



Duties
  • Assign frequency allocations, mitigating conflicting assignment requests, coordinating with the Army Frequency Management Office for the issuance and continued use of authorized radio frequencies.
  • Resolve frequency related problems, and providing end user support relative to all aspects of Spectrum Management.
  • Ensure frequency assignments are designed for compatible use with other users of the radio frequency spectrum such as fixed station and mobile radio, ...
  • radar, navigational aids, satellite links, and other systems operated by the military, other government and civil agencies, and private citizens.
  • Help radio frequency spectrum users achieve Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and eliminate Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
  • Work to preserve the frequency spectrum through the National Capital Region Network Enterprise Fort Belvoir (RNEC) for the Commander of the Military District of Washington DC.
